Even in home theater systems, if you have an inexpensive or older DVD player with a digital output, the music coming out of your player may be dramatically improved by simply connecting it to the Beresford TC-7520 DAC by either:
- Digital Coaxial - standard 75 Ohm digital coax cable
- Digital Optical - standard TOSLINK cable
In home theater systems, the Beresford TC-7520 can easily be incorporated.
For playing music (e.g. CD's), just connect one of the DVD player's digital outputs to the Beresford TC-7520, which in turn is connected to your home theater receiver using the Line (Fixed) analog outputs.
Using a second digital output or HDMI cable, connect the DVD player directly to your home theater receiver for DVD movies.
You get the best of both worlds! Great two-channel stereo as well as multi-channel (e.g. Dolby 5.1) effects.
Note: the digital outputs from your DVD player need to support 2-channel PCM. The settings for PCM are generally found in the audio section of your DVD's setup menu system. With all the different DVD players available, it is recommended that you check what digital output settings are available and contact us at

For analog outputs:
- Line (Fixed) - 2-channel stereo receiver or home theater receiver which controls volume
- Amp (Variable) - power amplifier or powered speakers, TC-7520 controls volume
- Headphone Jack - headphones with 1/4" jack, TC-7520 controls volume

Note: the Line and Amp connections are usually handled by standard analog (Red-Right, White-Left) interconnect cables
